The Raven Wing Patch Standards
We developed our standards out of what we believe to be the fundamental skills needed to effectively perform under pressure with a handgun. The draw, grip, sights, trigger prep, transitions, and the reload. Both standards must be completed in person and witnessed by 1 or more members of Raven Wing to qualify. Video submissions are appreciated but will not get you a patch.
Unkindness
DISTANCE: 5 yards
ROUND COUNT: 8
PAR: 4.50 seconds
SEQUENCE: Utilizing a shot timer, the shooter will draw, fire 2 rounds to the COM Alpha, transition and fire 2 rounds into the Head Alpha, perform either an in battery or slide lock Reload, then fire 2 rounds again into the Head Alpha, transition and fire 2 rounds to the COM Alpha.
Treachery
DISTANCE: T1 - 7 yards, T2 - 15 yards, T3 - 25 yards
ROUND COUNT: 6
PAR: 3.75 seconds
TARGET PLACEMENT: The target that is placed at the 15 yard line (T2) must be placed to the left of the target at the 7 yard line. The target placed at the 25 yard line (T3) must be placed to the right of the target at the 7 yard line. T2 and T3 should be offset on either side of T1 by about 1 yard.
SEQUENCE: Utilizing a shot timer, while standing stationary, the shooter will draw and engage three targets. 2 rounds to each COM Alpha. However, The shooter CANNOT engage the target at the 7 yard line first.

Rifle Standard
DISTANCE: T1 - 10 yards from shooter, T2 - 25 yards from shooter
ROUND COUNT: 6
PAR: AR-15 - 4.00 seconds, AK - 5.00 Seconds
MAGAZINE SETUP: The shooter's first magazine will be loaded with 3 rounds only. The second magazine can be loaded to capacity or with a minimum of 3 rounds.
TARGET PLACEMENT: Target 1 must be placed at the 10 yard line from the shooter. Target 2 must be placed at the 25 yard line from the shooter to the dominant side of that shooter, I.E. if shooter is right handed, Target 2 will be placed on the right side of the target at the 10 yard line. Target 2 should be offset to the side of T1 by about 1 yard.
SEQUENCE: The shooter will load the first magazine of 3 rounds, effectively loading the rifle and leaving two rounds remaining in the magazine. Utilizing a shot timer, while standing stationary, the shooter will aim their rifle at the base of the target stand of target 1. On the beep, the shooter will engage target 1 with 3 rounds COM APLHA, perform a bolt lock reload (bolt lock is not applicable for those using an AK for obvious reasons), transition to the target at 25 and engage another 3 rounds COM APLHA.
VIDEO SUBMISSIONS: When filming your run, confirm each target at the appropriate distance, target 1 at "0" and target 2 at 15 yards (45 feet), confirm the shooter is standing at 25 yards (75 feet), then show the shooter conducting the drill and the subsequent hits.
